Location
The hotel is located in the Beyoğlu district, on the European side of Istanbul, one of the liveliest parts of the city. Beyoğlu is famous for its narrow streets full of cafes, shops and galleries. In the immediate vicinity is Taksim Square, the lively heart of modern Istanbul, a place where culture, entertainment and city life meet. The famous Istiklal pedestrian zone starts from here.
The historical part of the city, Sultanahmet, where some of the most important sights such as the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace are located, is easily accessible by public transport. Popular attractions such as Dolmabahçe Palace, Galata Tower and Galata Bridge are also very easy to reach on foot or by public transport.
Sabiha Gökçen Airport, located on the Asian side of Istanbul, is about 45 km away, while Istanbul International Airport (IST) is about 50 km away.

Hotel Occidental Taksim was renovated in 2018 and has modern rooms and apartments. The hotel has two restaurants and a coffee bar. The restaurant serves a varied breakfast that includes seasonal and local food. Guests can enjoy the wellness and spa center with sauna, traditional Turkish bath, massages, fully equipped gym and indoor swimming pool.

The hotel has modern rooms. All accommodation units have air conditioning, safe, LCD TV, mini-bar, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone, free Wi-Fi and private bathroom with bathtub or shower, cosmetics and slippers.
Standard rooms are about 18 m² and are ideal for one or two people. They are equipped with all basic amenities and are perfect for a comfortable vacation in the city center.
